We deeply regret to advise you of the untimely passing of Kristine Z. Pemberton on June 24, 2010. Many may recall that she was a very active member in OMBA in years past with CitFed Mortgage Company before she founded Multi-States Mortgage Services Company which later became Southern Mortgage. Kris was a lifelong mortgage professional who for over twenty-five years displayed an even keel, steady handed approach to problem solving and the many changes the industry has endured. Her dedication and commitment to high standards of excellence and integrity will remain her enduring legacy.

PEMBERTON, Kristine Z. Age 53, of Springboro, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at LifeCare Hospitals of Dayton. She was born October 14, 1956, in Troy, Ohio to her parents Harold "Abe" Schauer & Phyllis (Peacock) Asher. She was preceeded in the death by her father. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years Neal Pemberton; her mother Phyllis; step father Harold Asher; sisters Lori Jackson & Shanda Nasal; aunt Ouida Peacock. Kris was the primary founder of the Southern Ohio Mortgage company which she started in 1996. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, June 26, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 1 South Main St, Pleasant Hill. Rev Martin Peacock will officiate with interement following at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
