This seminar is designed to:
Familiarize processors, underwriters and managers with VA guidelines
- Provide a comprehensive overview of more complex issues for VA home loans
- Present training from a process oriented approach
- Ensure that veterans are receiving a quality of VA loan
This training will help all personnel involved with VA home loans. The training covers eleven chapters, and provides copies frequently used VA forms. Those eleven chapters consist of:
- Loan basics
- Obtaining a Certificate of Eligibility
- Getting started (initial paperwork requirements)
- How to order a VA appraisal
- The VA funding fee
- Credit underwriting
- Loan closing and submitting loans to VA
- Special circumstances
- VA updates
- Loan processing steps
- Frequently asked questions
On-site participants receive a workbook, which includes VA Funding Fees, Underwriting Guidelines, and VA Updates.
About the Presenter

Mark Jamison is the Loan Production Officer for the Cleveland VA Regional Loan Center (RLC.) The Cleveland RLC has jurisdiction over six states that include Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. In calendar year 2005, the Cleveland office was responsible for over $2.2 billion in VA loan volume. Mark has been with the VA for 15 years, spending 10 of those years in Loan Administration. Prior to his experience with VA, Mr. Jamison worked in the field of foreclosure, bankruptcy, collection, and loan administration. Mark is an approved continuing education provider for mortgage brokers in the State of Ohio, and he has also had training courses approved for continuing education in the states of Indiana and Pennsylvania. He is also a 1993 graduate of Cleveland State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance.

How to Register
The preferred method for registration for this seminar is the online secured registration form at www.ohiomba.org. Confirmations will be provided for those registrations submitted online only. Registrations will also be accepted on the official registration form only, click here to download a copy. Photocopies of the form are acceptable. Acceptable methods of payment are check, money order, American Express, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis, and the seminar may sell-out at any time. Therefore, we highly encourage you to confirm your registration with OMBA before making travel arrangements.
Cancellation, Substitution & Refund Policy
Registration cancellations prior to November 30, 2006 will incur no penalty. Cancellations after November 30, 2006 are subject to a $25.00 cancellation fee. Cancellation notices must be made by phone (440) 899-0010 or by mailing the OMBA Executive Office at 30200 Detroit Road. No refunds will be made on cancellations made on the date of the seminar due to committed funds. Forfeited fees cannot be applied to future meetings due to IRS reporting requirements. Substitutions from within the same company are permitted at no additional cost if received by November 30, 2006. All substitutions must be in writing and accompanied by a completed registration form.
